Service note

By Staff
The 82d Airborne Division has served in Afghanistan and Iraq for the past few years and will return for another tour of duty. This is the most decorated division in today's military.
They have 100 civilian chapters across the USA which serve both the military and civilians alike. With 34,000 members, they hold regular meetings, annual picnics, dinner dances, mini reunions an national convention, local parades and they sponsor school educational programs about the Airborne's history.
Their membership includes veterans from the 11th, 13th, 17th, 82d, 101st and today's special forces. Combat is not a requirement, only the wings you earned through hard work and determination.
Upcoming national activities include: Static Line Awards, April 2-4, in Atlanta, Ga.; Memorial Days, June 12-13, in Houston, Texas; All Airborne Days July 2-6, in El Paso Texas; and their 63rd National Convention, Aug.19-22, in Indianapolis, Ind.
