Reservations needed for League’s lunch

    BUCHANAN – On Monday, Oct. 12 the League of Women Voters will welcome Senator Ron Jelinek and Representatives Sharon Tyler, John Proos and Matt Lori to a Legislative Luncheon at the new Wheatberry Restaurant, 15212 N. Red Bud Trail, Buchanan.

    Check in will start at 10:15 a.m., the program at 10:30 and lunch at noon. The cost is $17, for the lunch, and reservations must be made by Wednesday, Oct. 7 at noon by contacting Susan Gilbert at (269) 545-2610 or susangilbert@csinet.net.

    League members, guests and the interested members of the public are invited to attend. The Legislature should have adopted a new state budget by Monday, Oct. 12 and the legislators have been asked to update us on the outcome of the budget process and specifically the financial impact on the schools. There will be a Q&A period.
