A trio of Niles varsity football players were named to the Big 16 Conference All-West Division first team, which was selected recently.
First team picks for the Vikings were offensive guard Hunter Krueger, wide receiver David Garner and punter Cameron Sly.
Sly was also selected to the honorable mention squad was a quarterback.
Second team picks were Cal Poehlman as a linebacker and Kevin Gross as a defensive end. Kyle Miller was an honorable mention pick as a center for the Vikings.
The All-West Division team was selected by the coaches from Lakeshore, St. Joseph, Mattawan, Benton Harbor and Niles.
Lakeshore was the West Division champions, with St. Joseph finishing second, Niles third, Mattawan fourth and Benton Harbor fifth.
The Vikings finished the 2009 campaign with a 4-5 overall record.
Niles won its final two games of the season, defeating Benton Harbor and Kalamazoo Loy Norrix.
