Art Center schedules ‘Cole Porter Christmas’

On Saturday, Nov. 28, “A Cole Porter Christmas” will brighten Buchanan, as downtown merchants are planning a big day. The Buchanan Art Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with exciting events planned throughout the day:

• 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. – potters at work with work for sale. Pottery Studio will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. One or more artists will work on clay and talk to the public about their work. Potters – work will be for sale in the studio and gift shop.

• Noon to 3 p.m. – Make and take your own Christmas cards with Tammy Stepien, scrapbook and stamping consultant. This event is for all ages and children with an adult. Walk in. No registration required. Cost is $1 to $3 per card. Cards, envelopes, stamps, ribbon and adhesives will be provided for you to make your own original, creative Christmas cards. Choose from a wide variety of greetings and designs. Learn how to send a piece of your heart through handmade stamped cards.
