Posted 3 months, 3 weeks ago at 8:36 am.

Jerry Lynn Staggs, 38, of 1529 Huron St., Niles, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug house after police executed a warrant at the residence, where one adult and three children were present.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department Road Patrol and Niles Police Department, executed a search warrant for illegal drugs at the suspect’s residence. The warrant resulted from a two-week investigation by the Narcotics Unit into suspected illegal drug activity.
Officers found approximately $250 worth of marijuana and evidence of illegal drug trafficking. They also seized a cell phone.

Staggs was arrested and taken to the Berrien County Jail. The children were turned over to a neighbor at the beginning of the investigation.
