Wesley Eugene Courser / June 30, 1946 – Nov. 17, 2009

Wesley Eugene Courser, 63, of Edmore, Mich., died Tuesday, Nov.17, 2009 at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center-Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, surrounded by his loving family.

Wesley was born on July 30, 1946 to Ralph and Carmen L. (Chapman) Courser in Niles.
Wesley grew up in the Niles area and attended Niles High School. He married Sharon Pethick on June 18, 1966 at the Methodist Church in Niles. He retired from Morbork Industries after 15 years of service and was self-employed as an electrician for 10 years. Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and he was an avid outdoorsmen.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Edmore; children, Rodney (Katrina) Courser, of Evart, Josalyn (Tim) Shaffer, of Greenville; grandchildren, Brandon, Kimberly and Zachary Courser and Evan and Ellasyn Shaffer; brothers and sisters, Lester (Mary) Dancer, of Delphos, Ohio, Barbara (Robert) Johnson, of Niles, Arvilla (Don) Carpenter, of Niles, Irma Binns, of Niles, and Duane Courser, of Niles.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life for Welsey will be held at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at noon with Pastor James Massengill officiating. The family will receive friends at a visitation two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon at the chapel
