Bowler throws 299

NILES - Wayne Barr, 72, threw a near perfect game on Oct. 8 at Joey Armadillo's Bowling Center.

Barr, of Edwardsburg, threw a 299, one off a perfect game.

This score is the highest ever recorded in the Niles Senior League.

Barr has been bowling for about 20 years, and was thrilled at his 299 score.

The Niles Senior Bowling League is held at Joey Armadillo's on S 11th St., from September to March. All seniors are welcome as the ages run from 61 all the way to 98. The league welcomes anyone that would like to bowl.
