Brandywine places 4 on all-league soccer squad

NILES - Lakeland Conference champion Bridgman dominated the first team of the all-league soccer team, which was announced this week.

The Bees landed four players, plus their coach on the first team and three more on the second team.

Bridgman also had a pair of players on the honorable mention portion of the squad.

Brandywine landed one player on the first team and another on the second team. The Bobcats also had two players on the honorable mention portion of the squad.

Buchanan finished with one player on the second team and two on the honorable mention squad.

Named to the first team were Jordan Carrigan and Chabu Chapi of Berrien Springs; Greg Beaver of Brandywine; Eric Clark, Robby Clark, David Herrera and Jeff Jakeway of Bridgman; Brett Gentry, Brian Sevison and T.J. Treat of Edwardsburg; and Josh Gibson of River Valley.

Bridgman's Woody Woolery was named Coach of the Year.

Named to the second team from Brandywine was Will Coar, while selected from Buchanan was Ryan Catalano.

Earning honorable mention status for the Bobcats were Travis Bakeman and Jake Harris. Buchanan's honorable mention picks were Paul Kidd and Tyler Knisely.
